The Japan Institute of Architects was formed as an association of the architects who engage in design and supervision of architecture in 1987 and is one of member sections, region W of UIA (The International Union of Architects).
We believe that architecture is social assets
for the public as well as for a client, and that it is necessary for persons
design buildings, namely the architects not only to have a qualification
of authorized architect but also to have suitable and advanced capability for
business accomplishment and ethical consciousness.
JIA is the organization formed for the purpose of contributing to improvement
of quality of architecture and cultural creation / development of architecture
through improvement of architect’s quality and striving to improve business
circumstances. Therefore we established Rules of Procedure, Code
of Ethics, Rules of Conducts and Disciplinary Measures based on all JIA
members’ consensus and are performing to manage our organization.
